Dots

It's cold and rainy today so I thought I'd play connect the dots.......

We invaded Iraq to secure WMDs and save the world.
Operation Iraqi freedom
Iraqs WMDs were aquired through the US,
US tilts towards Iraq
for the purpose of defeating Iran in the Iran-Iraq war
Iran-Iraq war
in which the Iranians were using weapons aquired through the US.
Iran-Contra
The big winner from the Iraq invasion so far has been Iran,
Iran wins!
who had for years fought with the Taliban,
Iran-Taliban clash
who were created by the Pakistan ISI
Birth of a monster
Return of the Taliban
The Iraq invasion eliminated Irans biggest foe in the region,
Sadaam Hussein, who for years had received nuclear weapons funding from Saudi Arabia.
Saudi-Iraq nukes
Who happen to have a treaty with Pakistan that guarantees a nuclear response from Pakistan should Saudi Arabia be attacked by Iranian nukes,
Nuke pact
which are currently under threat of attack by the US
Scott Ritter
and Israel,
Threat
who have been engaged in a decades old struggle against the Palestinians
Intifada
who are a Sunni majority supported by Saudi Arabia as well as the more commonly known and dire enemies Iran and Syria.
Saudi support
Meanwhile, the US is bogged down in the middle of a civil war between the Sunnis who are supported by Saudi Arabia
Money for arms
Saudis plan cleanup
and the Shiites who are supported by Iran.
Iranian backing
All the while, Bin Laden, who came to power with the help of the US
Blowback
remains free and is another big winner having acheived his goal of getting US troops out of Saudi Arabia
Cut and run
and "terrorizing" the US.

Wow! That's a lot of research. I don't know what to call the picture made by the dots - it's ugly, for sure. Thanks.

The US has made its middle east bed in a bowl of scorpions. Daddy Bush, James Baker and Richard Armitage understand this and have done their best to double deal them all. The neocons on the other hand don't seem to have a clue. Whirled Whar 3 here we come....
