Taliban.....the odd guys out?

According to recent reports, the US is getting ready to throw their money and support at the warlords in Afghanistan and get rid of Karzai,
But now the Russkies are offering up weapons and dough to the corrupt Kabul regime
and double dealing with US over supply routes through the northern "stans"
Could it end up in a civil war?
Warlords vs. Karzai?
US vs. Russia?
But wait
What about the Taliban?
A Taliban/Pakistan collaboration perhaps?
Armed to the teeth by the Chinese?

Stayed tuned........

Russia stops US on the road to Afghanistan

The war may be over soon, it is costing the American and British taxpayer a fortune, and has little or no public support.
The objective of the Taliban seems to be to grind down the enemy with constant and unexpected irritation , rather than confront them on open ground.
And then there`s the hash...

Hi Landsker! Your description of the Talibans strategy reminds me of hemmaroids.
I can see the headlines now......
"US defeated by a pain in the ass!"

How's life in the UK? I hear people all over the globe are rioting because of the world wide depression.

Life here in UK/Europe is for many, becoming one of just survival.
Unemployment and lay-offs are rising, shops and factories closing down.
The protests are increasing, as the greed of banks and corporate fatcats is exposed, it`s nowhere near an armed revolution, but it does restrain the politicians a little.
How long before the unrest spreads to the U.S.?, if at all?

Back, last century, the summer was traditionally riot season. We'll see things start to eat up just about when the weather does.
Interesting that street demonstrations brought down the Iceland government, be nice to see that here.
