Vehicle mounted active denial system

This isn't about bush riding in a motorcade. It's about the new "non-lethal" millimeter wave beam weapon that the air force is now proposing to use against US citizens as a "test" before distributing it across the globe. Seems the legal council to the air force recommended the test because of concerns about our "kinder& gentler"(tic) image overseas.
There are some shortcomings to the weapon that can be exploited though. It won't work on people wearing heavy clothing, which eliminates its use against demonstrators in northern climates during the fall and summer months. If they do use it here in the US , expect to see it in the southern states where minimal clothing is the standard (San Diego?). Know what the weapon looks like and if you see it in your area, dress appropriatly.
If you plan on carrying a sign to a demonstration, cover it in foil first and then layer your message over it. This will relect the beam back towards the weapons operator and maybe they will get a dose of their own medicine.
This weapon is of course being promoted as the latest and greatest in non-lethal warfare but if you're familiar with rubber and wooden bullets, you know that they can still cause injury so be carefull. I suspect that the intensity of the beam can be adjusted to cause injury and there's always the issue of getting hit with it in the face. I wouldn't doubt that serious injury to the eyes in particular will occur if the beam is directed to a persons face. The fluid in your eyeballs is much more sensitive than skin.
After a successful test run here in the US, I would expect to see it used in most temperate climates across the globe. The middle east and Africa in particular. I'm betting it's going to be used primarily to stop refugees. Imagine if they had it Rawanda, it could have stoppped hundreds of thousands from fleeing the massacres, leaving them defenseless. No, this thing is going to be very lethal in a way un-imagined as of yet. So don your tinfoil hats everyone, you don't have to be crazy to wear one now!

Is this a picture of you in your new protesting outfit? Does Pat get a matching one? At least I'll be able to find you in the crowd next week!
