Forfeit

So another Republican in Florida has resigned in disgrace, is it surprising? They are a disgraceful bunch after all, but what I don't understand is why the rethuglican party is being allowed to replace them on the ballot. The same thing happened with Foley. Neither Foley or this next guy Ralph Arza has been convicted of anything yet, they have simply resigned. Shouldn't it be considered a forfeit? They quit! So that party nominated a quitter and should be made to run with that person. I think the candidates should remain on the ballot with no replacement, after all it is the person who is running and NOT the party. Tough xxxx on them if the candidate is a louse. There is precedent for candidate replacement when they die such as when Ashcroft replaced the senatorial candidate in Missouri years ago, but there is also precedent for the person remaining on the ballot as in the Tom Delay case in Texas.

Amazing how they do this horrid stuff and then with a wave of the hand, dismiss it because they were drunk. Like that makes it less wrong. I agree, they should leave their name on the ballot and the person who got the signatures to run, should have to run even if they are disqualified. Their replacements have no authority by state procedure to be on the ballot.

It's not surprising the neo-cons are blaming bush. After all, have you ever heard a republican admit a mistake? There now showing that they're nothing more than mongrels who will eat their own.
And I'm not totally convinced that the situation in Iraq isn't going as planned for the bushies. I know it's easy to just consider them stupid, mainly because they really look, act and talk stupid, but I keep getting this nagging feeling that chaos in Iraq was the plan all along and the recent revelation that the US introduced over 300,000 weapons( handguns , machine guns and rocket launchers) to the theatre without registering the serial numbers, thus rendering them un-tracable hasn't eased my mind much.( geez, I love to construct run on sentences!)
