I was alarmed but since there was no way to substantiate it at the time, I took a wait and see attitude about this story from Al Jazeera re-printed in the Jerusalem Post....'USAF struck Syrian nuclear site'...(Link)

This was updated to six in a revised article by the same reporter on September 10. According to Madsen, his intelligence sources said only five advanced nuclear cruise missiles were found at Barksdale, after six left Minot AFB. So if one nuclear missile is still missing, then attention needs to be placed on those factions within the U.S. military and government that would benefit from the covert use of a nuclear weapon in the Middle East. Attention needs to be placed on those ultimately behind the B-52 incident, most likely based within the Office of the Vice President. It is therefore very possible that the B-52 incident involved two covert missions. (Link)

I am going to be abusive. Our fat lazy soldiers will get their butts kicked. They are soft. Momma's boys, they whine because they find out our self-made enemies have better strategy, and can out tech us when and where it counts. We think we are cowboys who all we have to have is a bigger gun... We have been had by our government and the lackey's of the military industrial complex that rules the world...
The war has many fronts, one of them being economic. On a global basis, few people now buy american products, it is no longer "hip" to wear nikes or levis, or to sip coca cola, even the cheapness of holidays does not attract overseas tourists.
The Dow jones lost 6% in the last 2 weeks, the dollar is falling, as the price of food and fuel rises.
This may lead to a depression, which will see millions of americans without food or housing.
Millions of homeless and hungry people, most of whom have access to guns and ammunition is not a good scenario.
Do the Arabs, Chinese and Russians care? Or, as they "dump their dollars" do they think of the millions who have been killed and injured by american soldiers.
I do however think that within the military there is some sense.
As well as the christo-fascists and bigoted arseholes, there are those who have some integrity and sense.
Self preservation may yet see moves by the military to overthrow the current regime.

Even though there is no evidence that Iran poses a nuclear threat, Dumbass George will still try to attack out of sheer spite...he wants another war, and by god he's gonna get it, threat or no threat.
The air force, while not perfect, has carried out literally thousands of missions, and in each, they knew what armament was aboard. Just one person is not responsible for those bombs. There are checks and balances on checks and balances. This "mistake" wasn't.
