The "We Care" event was sponsored by Move On and was attended by congressional candidates
Derek Casady and Karen Otter, members of the ECYC bowling team, Move On and Dumpin' Duncan.
Some passersby joined in and 2 residents from the Senior Citizens Apartments across the street came down to express their appreciation for the event.
A large percentage of drivebys honked in appreciation.
The opposition was represented by one tin foil hat guy in a van with an "I love Bush" sign.
The times they are a changing. Peace is getting popular!

Duncan Hunter covers up............

Duncan's House Armed Services Committee is "investigating" the massacre at al-Haditha while at the same time trying to excuse it away as an isolated incident. Anyone familiar with his spin methods however will remember him making similar and erroneous statements about the Abu Gharab torture scandal as well as the abuse at Camp Guantanamo.
War crimes commited by US soldiers are common and well documented though and the truth will be known that al-Haditha is not an isolated incident but one of many, most recently today in Kabul when 4 Afghan civilians where shot dead by US troops following a tragic traffic accident involving US military vehicles. In late March at least 16 innocent worshippers were slaughtered in a raid on the Mustafa Mosque in Baghdad.
These incidents are common and will continue because of the stress the troops are being subjected to, they are scared and they are trigger happy. They have been placed in a position of being targets in a war with no clear objectives. This is the very issue that John Kerry presented to congress back during the Vietnam war. He was criticized for not supporting the troops when in fact he was advocating for them to be removed from an un-winnable situation where they were forced to shoot innocent civilians in order to protect themselves in situations that were not militarily justified.
Duncan Hunter says he supports the troops when in fact his actions say otherwise. Placing troops in harms way, sometimes for 2 or 3 tours of duty without rest or counciling, giving them anti-depressants and handing them their gun back for another trip is not supporting the troops. It is supporting war crimes and the perpetration of genocide.

"Battlecry" which is taking aim at the religious folks impressionable young children. Relying on the old tried and true ( but false) notion that the country is going down the toilet because of drug addicted, sex fiend liberals, Ron Luce is pimping this new/old fashioned story in hopes of scaring the shit out of people and making a ton of money in the process. Ironically one of the enemies he identifies is Corporate America who according to Ron will stoop at nothing to sell our childrens soul for a profit. Statistically speaking, he is very very full of #hit. Here is a map showing the highest concentration of Baptist churches in the USA, then compare that to the maps showing the highest rates of venereal disease and methamphetamine production in this country. These are just 2 examples of many that refute this latest attempt at demonizing for dollars.
Hopefully most if not all of these kids will see through this BS and find a happier more satifying lifestyle that isn't driven by fear. Parents, you might want to go with your children if they insist on going to one of these shows or at least be aware that they will be subjected to some very intense recruiting to join the military, to join the fight against fellow Americans.

Iraqi Shiite militants sentence all gays to death

BAGHDAD -- Hard-line Shiite militias in Baghdad have issued a blanket death sentence for homosexuals, lesbians, prostitutes, liberal professors and booksellers.

Ali Hili, who ran a gay nightclub in Baghdad but fled to Britain this year after receiving death threats, told The Times of London he knows of more than 40 men killed in recent months.

Hili claims Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, the most revered spiritual figure in Iraq, provoked the slayings by saying on his Web site in April last year that homosexuals should be killed in the "worst, most severe way."

"We could never envisage this happening when Saddam (Hussein) was overthrown," the 33-year-old Hili said. "I had no love for the former president, but his regime never persecuted the gay community."

Elsewhere in the city, a 34-year-old theater actor, who would only give his name as Bashar, said he has gone into hiding after a death threat. Two close members of his family have been killed by militants, who say they will carry on killing his relatives until he turns himself in.

Looks like Iraq has become the kind of place Republicans dream about.

Duncan endorses Bush's plan to put 6000 National Guard troops on the border so they can build his 700 mile long equivalent of the berlin wall.
"U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-El Cajon and chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, has said he wants Guard troops to help build a 700-mile long fence along well-established illegal entry points along the border."
Seems a curious choice for a labor pool since the guard specializes in enforcing military law on American citizens, even occasionaly killing them.
Maybe it's just another way of getting around using union labor.

And of course the Minutemen are all for it......
"A spokesman for the Orange County-based Minuteman Project said 8,000 troops isn't nearly enough to do the job.

"Having 8,000 people on the southern border is ineffective," Minuteman spokesman Tim Bueler said Monday morning. "We put 10,000 people in the field in April and it wasn't nearly enough."

Bueler said the Minuteman would like to see a massive troop presence not only along the 2,000-mile border with Mexico, but also all along the border with Canada.

"Canada has a large Muslim population and we're concerned about people with ties to al-Qaida coming into the U.S. from there," he said."

I don't remember seeing any National Guard troops here 3 years ago when San Diego county was engulfed by the Cedar Fire. I wonder why Duncan didn't see fit to use the Guard to protect his own constituents?

Some were torn down immediatly, as they just can't stop trying to control the information, but in the end there were simply too many for them to deal with. The entire neighborhood is covered. Memo to Democratic leadership

The picture above represents a days work for me. $480 shop rate if I did this for a customer. A total of 72 11" x 8 1/2" color prints that only represent the first 2 months of this horrid excursion into nightmareland. I could print thousands more of the carnage that has followed those dreadfull first 2 months, anything from the "accidental" bombing or shooting of civilians to the full outright genocide that occured in Falluja. The people of this country have not been given the opportunity to see these because of censorship in the news media and it is my intention to post these in full public view on Sunday morning, Mothers Day. It is very important for the general public to be fully aware of the results of our actions in Iraq and Afghanistan and I have decided to spend my time informing people so that they may understand that if they support the war then they support the killing and maiming of innocent women and children.
The present federal administration is guilty of war crimes. The democratic party's refusal to acknowledge this and to press for criminal charges in this case is abhorrent. I feel your current strategy of ignoring this subject makes you complicent in these crimes. You continually send me letters asking for money to aid in your struggle to un-seat the republicans yet you offer no real alternatives. You speak of presenting a "tough" image to the American public as a means of getting elected, as though you are trying to sell a more palatable "product" rather than speaking for and advocating "Truth justice and the American Way". Tell me, if "tough" is what your selling, how do you differ from the republicans?
Can you look at those pictures and then tell me that in order to get elected that you're going to do the same thing to Iranian women and children? Do you think that will get my support? Can you tell American mothers that you will ask their sons and daughters to kill other mothers sons and daughters and expect them to vote for you? How does that differ from the republicans? Why should I vote for you? Because you will have a kinder, gentler machine gun hand? Your current strategy of trying to marginalize the anti-war movement is reminiscent of many republican administrations of the past as well as democrat.
Who of my age can forget the "68" Chicago convention with Hubert Humphrey at the podium trying to present the party as "centrist" as the police outside the convention hall rioted and beat people, even passersby? And what fruit did that chickenshit stance bear? You lost! To Richard Nixon, who shortly thereafter was qouted as saying," The greatest obstacle to victory in Vietnam is the anti-war movement".
Aren't you at risk of becoming irrelevant? That's not the kind of sales pitch I'm looking for.
You wish to marginalize the anti-war movement because you're afraid you'll lose. Do you then agree with my republican congressman Duncan Hunter when he describes protesters as "out of work lefties"?
A great number of people in this country are afraid, un-justifiably so of muslims. Do you feel it is proper to contribute to this fear as a means to getting elected? How about confronting their fear with the facts instead? Remind them that more people are killed by diseases that could be cured with the monies spent on war. Remind them that more people are killed in un-safe vehicles that could be made safer through regulation. Remind them that more people are killed each year by their own friends and relatives. Remind them that more people are killed by common household toxins. Terrorists have a long way to go before they can compete with the more common and preventable killers.
Do you know that people are afraid to speak up? Why not show real leadership and speakup?
I recently encountered a methodist minister who was afraid to confront his concregation with the truth for fear of loosing them. Isn't he at risk of becoming irrelevant? A large majority of Americans claim to be Christian, can you not appeal to them as believers in the "Prince of Peace"? Or are you afraid of losing them?
Like it or not, the anti-war movement will not go away. We are more dedicated than you and un-like you, when the goons come for you, we will speak up. We are not afraid.
Please don't ask me again for money, I have none to give. But I do have myself to give and that labor will go towards what is right not "what sells".
Keep your Hillary and Biden and Joe Lieberman, I'm not buying. And Howard Dean? You're embarrassing, I thought you were a fighter. I was proud of you when you went postal in that campaign speech in Iowa and ashamed for the party when they allowed the repubs to do a negative spin on it. I joined the dems this year to fight the republicans and that I will. But I'm a green at heart and a patriotic American to boot. So if you do win in November, which if you continue on your present course, you won't, your corruptive practices and ethics will be my next target. I'm not stopping, we're not stopping, because anything short of justice for all Americans is un-acceptable to us.
Why don't you switch parties? Or better yet, after you lose in November why don't you just go sell vacuum cleaners?
